DGCA renews Jet Airways' Air Operator's Certificate for one month

The Jalan-Kalrock consortium announced the AOC renewal earlier today, calling it a re-validation of the confidence of the Indian Aviation regulator in the revival of Jet Airways. However, the DGCA clarified that this renewal is only for a limited period and Jet Airways will have to undergo re-certification for issuance of AOC.

The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has renewed Jet Airways' Air Operator's Certificate (AOC) for over a month till September 3, 2023, four days after the Jalan-Kalrock consortium appointed an Accountable Manager at the airline.
"DGCA has extended the AOC in respect of Jet Airways for a period up to 03.09.2023 only for the limited purpose of completing the ongoing CIRP," the regulator said.
The Jalan-Kalrock consortium announced the AOC renewal earlier today, calling it a re-validation of the confidence of the Indian Aviation regulator in the revival of Jet Airways. The consortium however did not mention about the expiry date of this AOC.
