Sources tell CNBC-TV18 that the Department of Heavy Industries has proposed incentives worth over Rs 9,000 crore to encourage automakers to move towards green mobility.
The department is also planning to extend its FAME policy or Faster Adoption & Manufacturing of Electric Vehicles policy, reports Ashpreet Sethi.
