Tata Steel to use Tata Motors’ new green-fuel fleet in carbon-neutral drive

The new fleet comes equipped with multiple safety features, including an Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS), Electronic Stability Control, Active Traction Control, and a Driver Monitoring System. The vehicles have been handed over to Tata Steel’s delivery partners for transporting steel products and raw materials.

Tata Motors, India’s leading commercial vehicle manufacturer, has launched its next-generation green-fuel-powered commercial vehicles. The fleet, which includes Prima tractors, tippers, and the Ultra EV bus, is powered by Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) and battery electric technologies.
The vehicles were unveiled by N Chandrasekaran, Chairman of Tata Sons, during the Tata Group’s Founder’s Day celebrations in Jamshedpur.
TV Narendran, CEO & Managing Director of Tata Steel, in a company statement, said, “This delivery marks another significant milestone in our long-standing partnership with Tata Motors. Together, we are committed to driving positive change and delivering eco-friendly solutions that not only benefit our businesses but also contribute to a greener tomorrow.”
