Hero Moto, on its 40th anniversary, has announced the launch of two new bikes, the Xtreme 125R and a special collector's edition named 'HERO FOREVER'. Homegrown two-wheeler manufacturer has also announced Mavrick 440, the modern roadster.
Reflecting on the company's journey, Pawan Munjal, Chairman of Hero Moto, expressed his optimism about the future, stating that the next 40 years for Hero Moto will be even greater than the first 40.
He also mentioned the inauguration of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya, describing it as a once-in-a-lifetime event that reflects the resilience, heritage, and unity of India. The 'Hero Forever' bike, designed in collaboration with TCG, is a tribute to Brijmohan Lal Munjal, the founder of Hero.
Niranjan Gupta, CEO of Hero MotoCorp, while sharing key insights about the company's recent achievements and plans, said Hero MotoCorp is changing gears and has launched four premium products in the past seven months. The company is not just focusing on manufacturing in India, but also on innovation. He added that they have upgraded 300 stores in 300 days and plan to complete 100 premium stores by the end of June 2024. Their electric vehicle business has been scaled to 100 cities and is expected to grow further. According to Gupta, the company, already present in 47 countries, is focusing on expanding in the top 10 countries.
Xtreme 125R
The Xtreme 125R comes in two variants, IBS and ABS, and is available in three colours: Cobalt Blue, Firestorm Red, and Stallion Black. The base variant is priced at ₹95,000 and is a premium addition to their 125 cc portfolio. The ABS variant of the Xtreme 125R is priced at ₹99,500.

It also features a robust diamond frame for enhanced ride comfort and handling, a 276 mm front disc for braking, and a 37 mm diameter front forks and a 7-step pre-load adjustable mono-shock suspension system with provided by SHOWA.
Hero Xtreme 125R (Image: Daanish Anand) With a max power of 8.5 kW/11.55 PS @8250 RPM, the Xtreme 125R offers a thrilling riding experience. It is positioned to meet the desires of 125cc motorcycle enthusiasts and is set to compete in the 125cc segment against the TVS Raider.
Mavrick 440
The Mavrick 440, Hero MotoCorp's first-ever 400cc bike for India, is set to compete with motorcycles like the Royal Enfield Classic 350 and Triumph Speed 400. It shares the same platform as the iconic Harley Davidson X440 and was launched as a result of a strategic partnership between Hero MotoCorp and the American motorcycle manufacturer.

It has rounded headlamps with H-shaped LED DRLs, LED turn indicators, a muscular fuel tank, a short front fender, bar-end rounded mirrors, and a single-seat setup.
It also includes a digital speedometer, smartphone integration through Bluetooth connectivity, an LED headlamp, and 43mm front forks.
Hero Mavrick 440 (Image: Daanish Anand) The Mavrick 440 has a 440cc, single-cylinder, oil-cooled engine that offers 27 hp power at 6,000 rpm and 37 Nm torque at 4,000 rpm. It features front and rear disc brakes with a dual-channel ABS for optimal safety.
Hero MotoCorp plans to announce the pricing of the Mavrick 440 in the coming weeks, with bookings set to begin next month and deliveries expected to commence in April 2024.
