BMW has introduced a new variant of the 6 Series Gran Turismo in India. The M Sport Signature trim is priced at Rs 75.90 lakh (ex-showroom) and is only available with the petrol engine option.
The new variant comes with some additional features over the regular M Sport trim. These include BMW Laserlight with Adaptive functionality, power-adjustable front seats with lumbar support and memory function, Dakota leather upholstery with contrast piping and soft-close doors.
The car also gets a rear-seat entertainment package consisting of two 10.25-inch touchscreen monitors, a Blu-ray player, a screen mirroring function and two USB ports. Other features include a 4-zone automatic climate control, a 2-part panoramic sunroof, a Harman Kardon sound system, BMW Gesture Control, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
The M Sport Signature is powered by a 2.0-litre 4-cylinder turbo-petrol engine that produces 255 BHP @ 5,000 rpm and 400 Nm @ 1,550-4,400 rpm. The engine is mated with an 8-speed automatic transmission. It comes with self-levelling adaptive air suspension and five driving modes: Sport, Comfort, Comfort+, Eco Pro and Adaptive.
The car also packs a host of safety features such as a rearview camera, Remote Control Parking, Attentive Assistance, DSC, Traction Control and Electronic Differential Lock Control among others.
The M Sport Signature trim of the 6 Series Gran Turismo has minor cosmetic changes from the M Sport trim. It has more chrome on the grille and brown leather seats with black contrast piping and stitching.
The 6 Series Gran Turismo competes with the Mercedes-Benz E-Class and the Audi A6 in the Indian market. The car is priced between Rs 72.50 lakh-74.50 lakh for the 630i M Sport and 630d M Sport variants.
