The first week of October saw some of the much-awaited launches in the automobile world. From Ashton Martin DB12 entering India to Kia introducing its all-new Carens X-Line Variant, there were some exciting new launches this week.

Citroen C3 Aircross launched in India
French automaker Citroen announced the full pricing details for its midsize SUV, the
C3 Aircross. The top specifications of Citroen C3 Aircross include a reverse camera, roof-mounted AC vents (7-seat type only), a 7.0-inch digital instrument cluster, and other enhanced features. Its safety features include dual airbags, ABS with EBD, ESC, and hill hold assist. The entry-level 5-seater variant costs Rs 9.99 lakh, while the top-spec Max 7-seater variant costs Rs 12.34 lakh.
The carmaker has also launched a ‘book now pay later’ scheme under which the customers can buy the car before October 31 and their EMIs will start in 2024.
BMW launches the all-new M 1000 R
The
BMW M 1000 R is a naked version of the M 1000 RR, which is BMW's flagship superbike. It has a 999-cc inline 4-cylinder engine. The engine has been adjusted to produce 209 horsepower and 113 Newton-metres of torque. The company has claimed the bike can reach from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.2 seconds and has a top speed of 280 km/h. It comes in two variants- the standard version, which is priced at Rs 33 lakh, and the competition version is priced at Rs 38 lakh.
Kia launches the all-new X-Line variant
South Korean automaker Kia has launched the
X-Line variant of its Carens line-up. The car has a stylish matte graphite colour scheme that is accented by a glossy black finish on parts like the radiator grille, front and rear bumpers, ORVMs (outside rear view mirrors), rear skid plate and side door garnishes. It also has 1.5-litre turbo-petrol and 1.5-litre diesel engines in the X-Line variant. These engines provide remarkable performance ratings of 160 PS and 253 Nm of torque and 116 PS and 250 Nm of torque, respectively. It starts at Rs 18.95 lakh (ex-showroom).
Triumph launches 2024 Scrambler variants
Triumph has launched the
2024 Scrambler 1200 line-up with the new X variant and added new updates to the XE variant. The X and XE models both sport a liquid-cooled 1200cc parallel-twin engine. They produce 90 horsepower at 7,000 rpm and 110 Newton-metres of torque at 4,250 rpm. The engines are mated to a 6-speed gearbox and a torque-assist clutch.
Aston Martin launches DB12 in India
Luxury carmaker
Aston Martin has launched the latest grand tourer, the DB12, in India. The Aston Martin DB12 is powered by a more powerful Mercedes-AMG 4-litre twin-turbo V8 engine. It produces 671 bhp and 800 Nm of torque, which is much higher than the preceding V8 engine powered by the DB11. The Aston Martin DB12 is available in the Indian market at Rs 4.59 crore (ex-showroom).
