Fifa
FIFA
FIFA is the regulatory body of soccer, beach football, and futsal on an international scale, established in 1904 to manage international competition between the national organizations of Denmark, Brussels, France, the Netherlands, Spain, Europe, Switzerland, and Sweden
Members of FIFA
FIFA is headquartered in Zürich, Switzerland, and it now has 211 national associations as members; Russia was dissolved in 2022. These national associations must also be members of one of the world's six regional confederations: Africa, Asia, Europe, North and Central America, and the Caribbean, Oceania, and South America.
FIFA Identity
Flag
The FIFA flag is blue with the foundation's logo in the center. The existing FIFA flag was first managed to fly during the opening ceremony of the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Moscow, Russia, and has since been used.
Anthem
Since the 1994 FIFA World Cup, FIFA, like the UEFA Champions League, has used an anthem composed by German composer Franz Lambert. Rob May and Simon Hill rearranged and produced the song. The FIFA Anthem is started playing at the FIFA officially recognized matches and competitions such as international matches, the FIFA World Cup, the FIFA Women's World Cup, the FIFA U-20 World Cup, the FIFA U-17 World Cup, Soccer at the Summer Olympics, the FIFA U-20 Women's event Cup, the FIFA Beach Football World Cup, and the FIFA Club World Cup.
Since 2007, FIFA has also obligated most of its telecast collaborators to use short sequence data, including the patriotic song at the start and end of FIFA live events and for break crumple zones, to promote FIFA's sponsors. This is similar to practices used by other international football tournaments, such as the Championship. For specific events, exceptions may be made; for example, an original composition of African music was used for crumple zones during the 2010 FIFA World Cup.
Governance and laws
FIFA's headquarters are in Zürich, and the organization was founded under Swiss law.
The FIFA Congress, a congregation, composed of members from each associated member association, is FIFA's supreme body. Each national football association has one vote regardless of size or football strength. The Congress meets annually in ordinary sessions, and exceptional sessions have been held yearly since 1998. Congress makes decisions on FIFA's governing statutes and their implementation and application.
The FIFA Council, formerly known as the FIFA Executive Committee and chaired by the president, is the organization's main decision-making body between congresses. The council is made up of 37 individuals: the president, eight vice presidents, and 28 representatives from the coalitions, with at least one woman among them. The executive committee selects which nation will host the Games.
