In a bid to scale up presence in the naturals space, FMCG major Hindustan Unilever (HUL) is bringing international personal care brand Love Beauty and Planet to India. The company has done a soft launch of the brand currently.

Sandeep Kohli, executive director, personal care, HUL, said HUL is planning to bring the full range of the brand, which was launched outside of India, in the country as soon as possible.
He said, “The way we are covering the segments is we are looking at body wash, shampoos, conditioners and extending it more depending on the needs of Indian consumers and also the sizes of the various categories.”
When asked how the firm expected naturals to growth as part of the overall portfolio, he said, naturals as a trend is here to stay and it is a global phenomenon.
“Our naturals business in the beauty and personal care, we are growing faster than the market. About three years ago we decided to make a play at scale and we have really build a sizeable business now in that space both in terms of number of brands, number of offerings and across the price piano with different kind of propositions,” Kohli told CNBC-TV18's Priya Sheth.
Talking about consumption slowdown worries, he said they were in the market to play for the long run and he was confident that over the long-term beauty and personal care market would grow.
