Ather Energy, one of the first electric two-wheeler startups in India, is gearing up for its initial public offering (IPO). The maker of the 450X electric scooter aims to list on Dalal Street by Diwali next year or early 2025, a source aware of the developments told CNBC-TV18 on December 14.

Ather has started seeking inputs on the IPO plan and valuations and is likely to appoint bankers by March 2024, the source said. The person added that the process of appointing independent directors will be completed shortly.

Shares of InterGlobe Aviation, the parent company of IndiGo Airlines rose for the thirteenth consecutive trading session on Thursday, December 14. This is the longest gaining streak for India’s largest airline operator, which accounts for more than half of India’s air passenger traffic, since its listing in November 2015.

Domestic brokerage firm Motilal Oswal has maintained a ‘neutral’ rating on the airline’s stock, with a target of ₹2,800 per share. The brokerage said passenger demand remains robust but has not peaked yet.

Shares of Suzlon Energy Ltd, which have given multibagger returns to investors in the last six months, saw mutual funds reducing their exposure to the renewable energy solutions provider in November. Mutual funds sold shares worth ₹1,090 crore last month, data compiled by Nuvama Institutional Equities suggested.

Data showed HDFC MF completely exited the stock, while others including Bandhan MF, Edelweiss MF and Invesco MF pared their stakes valued at ₹264 crore, ₹118 crore and ₹70 crore, respectively.

Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) shares jumped nearly 3% to hit a 52-week high on Thursday as the company revealed plans to expand beyond the Railways.

Rising for a fourth straight day, IRCTC shares opened higher and rose further by 2.82% to hit a year-high of ₹800 per share on BSE. Around 2.5 lakh shares of the company changed hands in morning deals on the bourse.

In its 28th Annual Wealth Creation Study released on December 14, the Mumbai-based brokerage firm Motilal Oswal showed that Reliance Industries added Rs 9.63 lakh crore over the period of 2018 to 2023 (as on March 31, 2023).
