Granules India announced on Wednesday, December 13, that it has received approval for the Pantoprazole Sodium delayed-release tablets from the United States Food and Drug Administration (USFDA). The drug is used for treating damage from Gastroesophageal Reflux diseases.

The US drug regulator has approved the company’s Abbreviated New Drug Application (ANDA) for Pantoprazole Sodium Delayed-Release Tablets in the dosages of 20mg and 40mg, Granules India said in a filing to the stock exchanges.

IndiGo shares hit their record high of Rs 3,007 apiece, earlier in trade today.

Shares of SpiceJet were under pressure in Wednesday’s trade after the low-cost carrier reported a ₹431 crore loss for the September quarter.

The stock also got a bump up from a sharp fall in crude oil prices. Jet fuel alone accounts for 40% of an airline’s operational cost.

Leading commercial vehicle manufacturer Ashok Leyland shares gained nearly 3% on Wednesday after the company unveiled the AL H6 Diesel – CEV Stage V engine at EXCON 2023 in Bengaluru.

The company unveiled its new diesel engine along with other innovative products showcasing its versatility for various applications.

The shares of Timken India are trading 0.6% lower, after gaining for five trading sessions in a row. The shares have fallen in two out of the last 10 trading sessions, and are down 0.3% in 2023 so far.

The shares of Indian Bank are trading 1.4% lower in the trade on Wednesday. The shares snapped a two-day gaining steak, and have now fallen in three out of the last 10 trading sessions. The lender launched its qualified institutional placement (QIP) to raise up to ₹4,000 crore on December 12.

HPL Electric shares were trading nearly 10% higher on December 13, after the company said it had won smart meter orders worth ₹545 crore.

Titagarh Rail Systems said on Wednesday that it has raised ₹699.9 crore by issuing fresh shares to qualified institutional buyers.

The issue of Titagarh Rail Systems Ltd (TRSL), formerly known as Titagarh Wagons, opened on December 7 and closed on Tuesday.

IREDA shares are in the green for the sixth day today, up nearly 10%.

 

The initial public offering (IPO) of Inox India Limited (Inox India) will open for subscription on Thursday, December 14. Ahead of the issue opening, the company’s shares are trading at a premium of ₹336, up from ₹262 a few days ago.

The GMP is more than 50% higher compared with the upper price band of ₹660.

Indian IT stocks are one of the top contributors in dragging the Nifty 50 down from a record high to 20,800 and the Sensex losing over 300 points on Wednesday (December 13).

Three out of five top Nifty 50 losers, TCS, Infosys and LTIMindtree, are technology stocks. While there’s no clear news trigger for the fall in these stocks, some market participants attribute the nervousness to the impending outcome of the interest rate decision from the US Federal Reserve.

The shares of InterGlobe Aviation, the parent company of IndiGo airlines, are trading in the green for the twelfth straight day on December 13. Mahindra and Mahindra’s board of directors approved the acquisition of 58.64 lakh equity shares of Emergent Solren, an arm of Mahindra Holdings Ltd, for ₹288 crore.

Following the completion of the transaction, the stake of Mahindra Holdings Ltd (MHL) in Emergent Solren Pvt Ltd (ESPL), a solar projects developer, would become nil, while M&M would hold 60.01% of the stake in ESPL.
