CNBC-TV18 Investment Guide: Enam's Sridhar Sivaram reveals why investors should bet on PSU stocks

In this episode of CNBC-TV18 Investment Guide, Sridhar Sivaram, Investment Director at Enam Holdings explains the rationale behind why one should buy PSU stocks and what are the stocks to look at in the sector?

Sivaram says, "This year, as part of the budget announcement, the government said that barring a few strategic companies, there is no business for the government to be in PSU companies or running businesses at all so in our view there has to be a trigger for PSU companies to re-rate and we think this is probably one of the biggest trigger."

"PSUs have run-up over the last three months by 30-40 percent but they are still significantly down from their peaks or even from a year back so I think there has been some sort of valuation correction that has happened. But we feel that if re-rating happens, then there are multi-fold opportunities, but it requires a lot of patience, time has to be given and one has to play through the entire process."
