About
Grasim Industries Limited is a flagship company of the Aditya Birla Group. Headquartered in Mumbai, India, it is a leading global producer of Viscose, Diversified Chemicals, Linen Yarn and Fabrics. Established in 1947, Grasim started as a textiles manufacturer in India. Recently, the company entered the paints business and plans to set up six plants across India. Grasim is also India’s prominent cement producer through its subsidiaries, UltraTech Cement and Aditya Birla Capital. Some of its product offerings include Viscose Staple Fibre (VSF), grey cement, white cement, fertilisers, chemicals, mining, fatty alcohol/fatty acids, insulators, software, BPO, finance and insurance, retail, sponge iron and textiles. Grasim is listed on both the BSE and the NSE.
