Motherson Sumi Q3 results: Here are the key expectations

Motherson Sumi Systems will be announcing its quarterly results on Monday.  The stock has fallen 35 percent in the last 6 months. Another weak quarter is expected from the company today.

Here are the key expectations:
  • Margins are expected to fall by 60 basis points this quarter. One basis point is a hundredth of a percentage point.
  • Samvardhana Motherson Reflectec (SMR) business revenue growth is expected at 2 percent YoY versus 1 percent growth YoY in Q2.
  • Net debt is likely to go up for the company.
  • High startup costs, weakness in overseas subsidiaries like SMR to impact earnings.
