Hero Moto launches new scooter 'XOOM' in the 110 cc segment
India’s largest two-wheeler manufacturer Hero MotoCorp, on Monday, launched a new scooter called Xoom in India. The company has priced this new scooter starting at Rs 68,599 (ex-showroom, Delhi) and bookings for the same will begin from February 1, 2023.

The Hero Xoom 110 is available in three variants – LX (Rs 68,599), VX (Rs 71,799) and ZX (Rs 76,699). All prices are for ex-showroom, Delhi. This new 110 cc scooter will go up against the likes of the Honda Dio and TVS Jupiter SmartXonnect.
Design and Features
Hero MotoCorp’s this new scooter comes with a sharply sculpted and sporty design. It gets features like an all-LED headlamp, X-shaped LED DRLs and a fully digital instrument cluster with Bluetooth connectivity.
The Hero Xoom’s front apron sports a dual-tone look with a black central section. The new scooter’s blinkers are situated on the handlebar and the company claims Xoom also comes with segment-first LED cornering lights.
The Xoom also gets a wide seat and a single-piece grab handle for the pillion rider. The new scooter will also have ample floorboard area, just like the company’s other scooters.
In terms of tech features, the new Hero Xoom comes with a fully digital speedometer with Bluetooth support and the company’s proprietary Hero Connect platform, which offers several connected features like live tracking, speed alert, geo-fence alert, topple alert, tow away alert, vehicle start alert, driving score and trip analysis.
Powertrain
The new Hero Xoom is equipped with the same engine as the company’s other 110 cc scooters, such as Pleasure and Maestro Edge. This 110.9cc air-cooled 4-stroke motor generates 8.15PS and 8.7Nm of max torque. The scooter also gets a self-start and kick-start option as standard, while the suspension system comprises telescopic forks at the front and a swing arm at the rear.
While many of the features remain the same as the other Hero scooters, the new Xoom rides on 12-inch wheels at both ends, enabling better capabilities across rough roads. In comparison, Maestro Edge 110cc has a 12-inch front and 10-inch rear wheel.
It also gets Hero’s i3S technology, the brand’s idle start-stop system, meant to aid fuel efficiency by switching off the engine while idling on traffic-riddled roads.
New Xoom's seat height is around 770mm and the ground clearance is 155mm. Interestingly, the top-spec ZX variant is the only one to feature a 190mm front disc brake while the rest get a 130mm drum brake at the front. At the rear, all variants come with a 130mm drum brake.
