Leading the network’s reportage has allowed him a bird’s eye view across some of the biggest issues to have affected the country in a decade.
He hosts “The Court Corner” on CNBC-TV18.
The show aims at a meaningful and simplified deep-dive into sensitive and intricate legal proceedings, which directly impact not just investors and balance sheets, but also policy and masses.
He is also responsible for decoding policy maneuvers affecting the health and growth of the Telecom sector.

He also engages at length with stakeholders, issues and policies on data security and privacy – ranging from SC’s Puttaswamy verdict to evolution of Data Protection Regime.
He has dealt with industry’s perspective on balancing concerns on data sovereignty with need for regulation.
After graduating from St.
Columba’s School in New Delhi, he pursued Journalism in Delhi University.
He chose to further hone his craft through a Master’s program at Asian College of Journalism in Chennai.
Ashmit has also completed a Certificate Program in Public Policy from Blavatnik School of Government in University of Oxford..
